| Tan Sri Datuk Seri Abdul Kadir had been holding full-time positions with the Federal Government since 1970 beginning as political secretary, parliamentary secretary, deputy minister and minister in various ministries almost continuously until his resignation as Minister of Information on 14 February 2006. He was Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism for 5 years before his appointment as Minister of Information in 2004. During his tenure as Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Abdul Kadir was also the Chairman, Tourism Promotion Board Malaysia. |
